Cold. Laser. Is. Here.
If you have not used Cold Laser Therapy for a recent injury or a chronic condition before, read on…
Cold Laser Therapy, otherwise known as Low Level Light Therapy is an amazing modality that can be used to address a vast range of conditions. Low levels of visible or near infrared light (NIR) are known to reduce pain; reduce inflammation and edema (swelling); promoting healing of wounds, deeper tissues, and nerves; preventing tissue damage; and provides photobiomodulation and photobiostimulation in injured tissues. (See HERE for more info).
In other words…
Cold Laser therapy
- decreases pain
- reduces inflammation
- improves tissue repair process
- improves healing
- decreases recovery time
It helps both acute (very recent) and chronic (Lasting more than 6 weeks) conditions because regardless of WHEN the injury occurred, laser therapy can help the body manage the inflammation process in a natural way, rather than BLOCKING the process and undermine the body’s natural healing systems.
Does it work?
There is much research that has and continues to be done which shows that Cold Laser Therapy is effective in treating general pain syndromes, as well as specific conditions. At Eastpoint, we use our laser system for conditions related to the neuromusculoskeletal system.
